d link dwl g520 connection

D-Link DWL-G520+ Connection Problem

Hi,
Has anyone had any luck getting the D-Link DWL-G520+ working in Vista using the XP drivers?
I'm
using the v2.04 drivers for the Ax revision from www.dlink.co.uk and they install fine, but won't connect to my router properly.
The router is I am using is a Netgear DG834G and set to automatically give out IP addresses and is on channel 11.
When Vista makes the wireless connection the IP address the card ends up with is 169.254.50.18 but the router is giving out IPs in the range 192.168.0.2 and upwards. This suggests the card hasn't connected properly.
Also, if I look at the connection status it sends out data but never receives any data back.
The final thing that seems wrong is in the event viewer I keep getting this error:
Wireless network connection failed.
Network SSID: apple BSS Type: Infrastructure Failure Reason: Driver disconnected.
which probably isn't any good.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Cheers
Gavin

Please ignore this - whenever I tried posting I got an error message so i tried a few times. Looks like they all made it though.

Hi,
Has anyone managed to get the D-Link DWL-G520+ card working in Vista with the XP drivers?

Also, when I look at the connection status it is sending out data but never receiving any back.
One
last thing i've noticed is that in the event viewer I keep getting this error:
Microsoft-Windows-WLAN-AutoConfig
Wireless network connection failed.
Network SSID: apple BSS Type: Infrastructure Failure Reason: Driver disconnected. which probably isn't very good.
This
setup works fine under XP.
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks

I used the Gigabyte Atheron drivers for my Dlink DWL-G520 card as there are no Dlink supplied drivers - works like a charm
